AbelCam®
From 2005 until 2019, Seiz System Engineering was developing and distributing the software AbelCam, WebCam Software for Windows. The program has been created in collaboration with various partners worldwide.
Originating from the need to better control a Logitech USB camera, this software supported more than 3'500 different types of cameras and was licensed worldwide more than 25'000 times, not least because of the translation into 14 different languages.
The plug-in architecture allowed programmers to program their own extensions. This resulted in various possibilities for controlling hardware.
The software was optimized with SmartAssembly and came with a multi-language installer. It runs on all windows variants from Windows XP to Windows 10 including server versions. The software can run as a service - no user had to be logged in to use this webcam server.
In addition to the windows installable software, a comprehensive background system emerged with an online shop with user administration, license generation and verification.
For AbelCam users a secure FTP server was available as well as additional information and statistics about the use of the software.
